I finally made it to Crazy Martin’s last Saturday August 15th for their monthly flipper frenzy tournament. In this style tournament you play in two player groups. When you finish your game you immediately get paired with another player. No need to wait between rounds. The tournament ran from 1-3pm and most people ended up playing around 11 games in that time. When the dust settled Andy Parrott (middle) came out on top. Ohio legend Trent Augenstein (right) finished second and True Houser (left) was third.

I came in 6th out of 26 players. Top 10 finishers shown above.
I can’t believe it took me this long to get up here. They have 32 games available to play including (nearly) ALL the Spooky Pinball games. The games were all in great shape. I really enjoyed playing Evil Dead for the first time.
Other highlights were the awesome toppers. The custom topper for Alice Cooper was insane. And the Tron game with orange legs and lockdown bar looks great. Was great to play Spooky’s first two games again, America’s Most Haunted (only 150 made) and Rob Zombie (300 made including 50 LEs).
In addition to the monthly events they also have pinball leagues here. See their Facebook page for more details on that.
It’s also a very well stocked smoke shop. I loved their selection of old school blacklight posters for sale. And their t-shirt selection was great with lots of cool band shirts.
The drive wasn’t bad at all, about 90 minutes from the Cincinnati area. I ate to Old Scratch pizza in Piqua after the tourney. They do an excellent wood fired pizza. I always stop when I am in the Dayton area, they have 4-5 locations.

I took back roads most of the way home stopping in Springboro where I had some ice cream at K&W Drive-In and walked around a super cute downtown area.

It was a great Saturday, can’t wait to make the trek back up north for another tournament.
